These repurposed drawing boards are an example of physical memory when the cerebral memory no longer exists. They are also an embodiment of play and humor during a time of pain and trauma. These boards were created in the youth inpatient psychiatric unit called “F2” at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. My memories of this time are murky at best, but these boards are a physical memory of a time that has been erased.
